Down through the ages we have seen men and women appear as if by magic to change the direction man has taken by his poor choices. I could name hundreds in every area of the growth of civilized man. Jefferson, Washington, and Franklin just to name a few well known men, founders of our country. But I am more interested in this article to trace a few of the pioneering giants in the area of health.

Often, developing healthy food habit is not as restrictive or as confusing as several individuals imagine. The first and foremost principle of healthy nutrition is simply eating a wide range of foodstuff. This is more important, since varied foodstuff make varied dietary contributions.
Secondly, vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains are necessary, since these foods are high in carbohydrates, fiber, minerals, vitamins, and low in fatty substances and are cholesterol free.
It is also better to balance between calorie expenditure and calorie intake. That is, avoid eating more foodstuff than what the body can consume. Otherwise, there is a possibility of gaining additional weight. Therefore, the more the active an individual is, the more he can eat and uphold this balance.

Seriously, has anyone ever considered the difference a little make-up can make to a man’s life and natural beauty? If not, why not? Ancient Egyptian men wore more make-up more than their female counterparts. Men participating in theatre had to wear as much make-up as women in order for their facial features to stand out from the back row. What about movie stars? Movie stars wear a little make-up to avoid imbalance in the complexion and to give a smooth look that makes women go crazy. A little extra color never goes amiss, either. What about today’s average man? Is it safe for him to wear make-up in a culture that portrays masculinity as rough and rugged? The answer to that question is totally up to each man himself.

Research has shown time and time again that eating small portions of dark chocolate may provide numerous health benefits as a result of chocolate’s antioxidant properties. However, a new study, performed by a team of scientists in Scotland and Italy, suggests that eating milk chocolate or even drinking milk with your chocolate, significantly reduces those health benefits.
Chocolate derives from the seeds of the cacao tree, a small evergreen bush cultivated throughout the tropics. Cacao’s botanical name is ‘Theobromo cacao’, meaning ‘food of the gods’. Chocolate is created from cocoa, the solids of the cacao bean, and cocoa butter, the natural fat of the cocoa bean. Dark chocolate is the purest form of cocoa without any milk additives.
